About Lopez Island, WA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Situated amidst the spectacular archipelago that make up the San Juan Islands in Washington State is beautiful Lopez Island, the first ferry stop for the Washington State Ferry from the city of Anacortes located on the Washington State mainland.  Home to a year-round population of approximately 2,500 residents, the fifteen-mile long island known as the “Friendly Isle” is a veritable bicyclist’s paradise and beachcomber’s dream!

Lopez Island’s rich history can be explored through the efforts of the Lopez Island Historical Society & Museum, which features exhibits and collections relevant to the maritime, fishing, and farming history of the island, as well as artifacts depicting life on the island from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  The museum maintains and operates the restored circa 1917 Port Stanley Schoolhouse, which remained in session until 1941, when the Lopez Island School District was consolidated.

Lopez Island is home to a wealth of opportunities for outdoor recreation and entertainment!  The island features a number of excellent parks and recreation areas, including Odlin County Park, where guests can enjoy boating, camping, and picnicking at one of the most popular beaches on the island, and Spencer Spit State Park, a 138-acre marine and camping park that features saltwater boating and fishing, bird watching and wildlife viewing, two miles of hiking and biking trails, and a reputation for excellent crabbing and clamming.

Visitors can also enjoy a round of golf at the Lopez Island Golf Course, attend a performance at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts, or enjoy the Tour de Lopez, an annual non-competitive bike tour sponsored by the Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce held the last weekend in April.

Conveniently accessible via boat, ferry, or floatplane, Lopez Island offers the ultimate island experience in the great Pacific Northwest!
